**An Academic Achievement Award Ceremony was organized at GNRC Hospitals, Dispur, on 31st October.2010 in the presence of Dr. Hiren Gohain as the Chief Guest,Dr. Mamoni Raisom Goswami and Professor Umesh Chandra Sharma as Guests of Honour. With an aim to create an atmosphere of academic excellence and encourage research activities, GNRC has taken an initiative to felicitate doctors and individuals ,who have shown special interests in varied medical subjects and have got their papers based on their research published. **GNRC celebrated National Epilepsy Day on the 21st of November, amidst huge fanfare. A splendid session was held especially for children with Epilepsy in the Sixmile Campus of the GNRC Hospitals. The session included various funfilled activities like drawing , Musical chair, singing dancing etc. The programme was marked with an elaborate photography exhibition portraying great personalities like Alexander the Great, Napoleon Bonaparte, Socrates etc from all over the world who won over Epilepsy to win over the world.

**An Educational Course on Movement Disorder was organized at GNRC Hospitals, Dispur, on the 18th,19th & 20th of February 2011, in association with the Movement Disorder Society-Asian and Oceanian Section. Experts from China, Japan, and India jointly conducted the course. The faculty comprised of Prof. Yoshikuni Mizuno(Japan), Prof. Shu.Leong Ho(Hong Kong), Prof. Rupam Borgohain(Hyderabad), and Dr. Vinay Goyal(New Delhi). The three day educational & scientific event was very well received in the North Eastern region of India.
**GNRC Hospitals organized a Seminar on Enhancement of Health and Well Being and learning through Singing in its Dispur campus on 11th March,2011. The seminar is a part of a major collaborative research initiative called AIRS. The seminar was conducted by professionals namely Mr. Hans Utter and Dr. Utpola Borah.
